Dental Implants

Dental implants are an option to replace one or more missing teeth. They are also an important solution to maintaining dental health by preserving bone structure that is lost once a natural tooth is lost. Dental implants are small titanium posts, or anchors, that are surgically placed in the jaw bone.

As your general dentists, we are your team leaders in diagnosing, planning, and coordinating a treatment plan for your implants. We work very closely with a team of surgical specialists who place your implant fixtures. Once the titanium anchors completely fuse, or osseointegrate, with your bone, the implants are ready for us to restore with a variety of options.

After osseointegration of a dental anchor is complete, a custom abutment post is made by our experienced lab. Abutment posts are then attached to the anchor in your bone by a small screw. A custom, single crown is then made to fit over the post. It is either cemented or screwed onto the abutment.

Implant Supported Bridge

Implant Supported Bridge

An implant supported bridge is a solution when three or more adjacent teeth are missing. The implant anchors serve as the supports to restore the bridge.

Implant Supported Dentures

Implant Supported Dentures

Implant supported dentures can be either fixed or removable, and replace a full set of teeth. Removable dentures can be be connected to as few as two implant fixtures, and usually “snap” into the implants. This provides for significant stability and eliminates the need for denture adhesives, common with traditional dentures. Fixed dentures will usually require a minimum of four implant fixtures.
